ñ      developed guidance material to support an integrated approach to the delivery and assessment of the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Tasmanian Polytechnic

ñ      provided consultative advice for the preparation of a tender to provide language, literacy and numeracy program (LLNP) services

ñ      developed an Education Investment Fund (Round 3- Stage 1) application

ñ      provided consultative advice to the Tasmanian State Government, Catholic and Independent education sectors regarding the development of six Trade Training Centres in Schools applications

ñ      developed a 10 Year Plan for Tasmanian schools that provides a collaborative forecast of Trade Training Centre applications from the Tasmanian State Government, Catholic and Independent education sectors in the period spanning 2008 to 2018

 

Tasmanian Qualifications Authority (TQA)

ñ      reviewed and redeveloped TQA’s senior secondary The Arts Applied course

 

 

Tasmanian State Emergency Service (SES)

ñ      reviewed Forging Links - Emergency Management & Local Government (Information Kit) in light of the new Emergency Management Act 2006

ñ      developed the resource Forging Links – Emergency Management & Local Government (Information Kit) that enables Local Government to enhance its emergency management capability

 

Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA)

ñ      determined credit values (levels and points) for units of competency and accredited modules

ñ      authored a report titled Determining Credit Transfer Arrangements from VET to Higher Education

 

Voc Ed Learning Group (VELG)

ñ      presented a session titled Developing Effective Training and Assessment Strategies at the 2009 VELG National Conference

ñ      undertook an analysis of the design and packaging rules of Training Package qualifications

ñ      developed an information kit titled Industry Induction Programmes that provides a step-by-step guide to designing and implementing induction programmes that guide students into the world of work and training

ñ      developed two Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) Kits to support recognition pathways for industrial technicians working in the heavy industrial sector

ñ      developed a Certificate IV and Diploma of Electrotechnology (Industrial Technician) to provide upskilling opportunities for technicians working in the heavy industrial sector

 

 

Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA)

ñ      developed a resource kit titled Above and Beyond – Recognising Youth Development in Australia. This kit has been archived at: http://pandora.nla.gov.au/nla.arc-57238

 

 

Innovation & Business Skills Australia

ñ      facilitated the review of four industry Training Packages (involving the Entertainment; Film TV Radio & Multimedia; Music Industry and Visual Arts Craft & Design Training Packages)

ñ      undertook the Phase 1 Review of the Music Industry Training Package

ñ      developed a variety of reports analysing content and relativities between Training Packages

 

 

Local Government Association of Tasmania (LGAT)

ñ      developed an information kit titled Council Careers to inform school students and graduates about career opportunities in local government. This kit is available at: www.lgat.tas.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=413

 

Skills Tasmania

ñ      researched and developed numerous Training Demand Profiles across a wide range of industry sectors, including Plastics, Rubber & Cablemaking; Textiles, Clothing and Footwear; Furnishings; Mining; & Racing industries. ñ      undertook a Feasibility Study into the potential use of the Hobart College facility at Mt Nelson as a College of Creative and Contemporary Arts

ñ      designed an information kit titled Partnerships for Productivity that provides a step-by-step guide to establishing successful industry, education or community partnerships. This kit is available at: www.education.tas.gov.au/school/educators/vocation/partnerships

ñ      provided an advisory service to tourism organisations coordinating the implementation of tourism cluster and touring route plans

ñ      developed implementation Reports on the Public Safety / Metal & Engineering Training Packages to identify appropriate conditions associated with the implementation of apprenticeship and traineeship pathways in Tasmania

ñ      developed a Guide to Registration and Registration Tool Kit supporting Group Training Organisations and facilitated a series of professional development workshops to support their implementation

 

 

Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI)

ñ      undertook research and labour market analysis into the employment and training of Australian School-based Apprentices in Tasmania

 

Tourism Council Tasmania (TCT)

ñ      developed a Training Demand Model that provides a systematic means of predicting training demand within the tourism industry

 

 

Various Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)

ñ      provided consultative advice to training providers seeking RTO status regarding the identification of Training Package qualifications relevant to their products and services

 

 

Business Services Training Australia (BSTA)

 

ñ      conducted 20 workshops across all States/Territories (reaching 500+ participants) to accelerate the implementation of the BSB01 Business Services Training Package

 

 

Curriculum Corporation

ñ      developed a resource titled VET in Schools: How it Works as part of a Training Package Resources for VET in Schools Project

ñ      updated online VET in Schools resources that support the Amenity Horticulture and Rural Production Training Packages

 

 

Gail Morley and Associates

ñ      designed and developed templates for learner resources for the Certificate IV in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management
